For the past 10 years, my family and I have enjoyed spending time together at our Abbey Springs (AS) Holiday condo. We utilize just about every amenity available and are so grateful to be here. With the recently approved Waterfront Project underway, it is a pivotal time for our community. I am passionate about the future of Abbey Springs, and ask for your support to serve on our Board, where I would apply my skills and experience described below to uphold our values of respect, integrity and community.
A CPA with over 20+ years of business experience, including 16 years at a global accounting firm, and the last 4 years as a business owner and consultant. During my first 10 years, I provided tax compliance and consulting services to businesses and high net worth individuals. In 2015, I was honored at the invitation to join our National Tax Office, where 6 years were spent in various leadership roles increasing in responsibilities. Notable achievements were launching and leading a multi-year, large scale digital transformation program which defined and deployed new policies, processes and software across a tax practice of more than 2,000 professionals. As a key contributor to a National Tax Leadership Team, we collaborated to execute the tax practice strategy, and functioned in a way similar to a Board of Directors.
The most recent 4 years as a consultant have focused on helping entrepreneurs launch and grow successful businesses. My prior and current clients include the construction, insurance, retail and technology industries - a number of which are located in the Geneva Lakes area. As a hardworking, detail oriented, seasoned collaborator, I thoroughly evaluate both quantitative and qualitative factors prior to advising on policies or decisions. My business skills and accounting knowledge would be immediately transferable to numerous Abbey Springs Board matters, including the successful execution of our Waterfront Project.
As the Unit Owner Representative on our House & Grounds Committee (H&G), I assist our Committee Chair and Abbey Springs staff with addressing H&G concerns raised by unit owners. These relate to a variety of areas including paving, landscaping, and maintenance on property. I actively participate in every meeting, review the budget, and alignment of committee priorities. Through this role, much has been learned about the complex inner workings of AS.
While our family’s primary residence is in St. Charles, IL, we are fortunate to spend many weekends and school breaks up at AS year-round, and most of our summer up at the lake. As a business owner, my work schedule is flexible, primarily working from home. Having parents who are full-time Abbey Springs residents, provides me with candid feedback from Owners who experience AS every day. My 3 older brothers and their families also live in the Geneva Lakes area, giving us even more reasons to spend time in Wisconsin!
